Placed two orders in the early hours of Thursday morning, promptly got confirmation e-mail from both companies. Both companies are using the same courier, DPD, got e-mails from DPD to say each will arrive today as they arrived at the depot at the same time (quarter of a mile away from me), one then sent me an e-mail with a one hour time slot, and the other on checking said they’d try and deliver it sometime today.
Both parcels arrived in the same building near me, at the same time yet only one has a delivery time slot.
Doh.
EDIT:
First parcel has arrived, phoned about the second, told it’s on it’s way.
Just this moment a second van pulled up with a parcel for number 38. No parcel for me.
So there will be at least three DPD vans to deliver three parcels to two addresses across the road from each other.
If they try and say in the future they are ‘carbon neutrals’ I’ll scream at them.
SECOND EDIT:
Parcel finally turned up a few minutes ago. Apparently they missed it.
I’ll give them the benefits of a doubt as I’m sure it was easy to miss, amongst a sea or white and brown parcels.
The box was only nine times bigger than it needed to be and bright yellow.
So easy to miss.

In the finance world, DPD is standard nomenclature for “Days Past Due”
Not a good omen!

They are good but as I say. The depot is half a mile away, both parcels arrived at the same time.
Just called and the depot told customer services that the driver is making two rounds.
So Mark the delivery driver just just dropped off the first parcel, is going back to the depot now, to pick up the second run, which my second parcel may be on.
Just this moment another DPD van has pulled up, waiting to see if my parcel is on.
Nope.

It better.
I deliberately ordered in the early hours yesterday, because it’s a bank holiday weekend and wouldn’t get it before Tuesday otherwise and I need it for Monday night.
I buy bulk car stuff so I can pass the savings onto friends.
IE, half a litre of Gtechniq QD is £9.99, yet 5litres is £36.99 and I get a 10% buying direct.

Ordered bike tires from the UK on the 15th. They dropped them at Royal Mail on the 17th. Royal Mail tracking says it left Heathrow Airport on the 18th.
Annnnd, they’re apparently on a plane with the worlds largest fuel tank because it hasn’t updated since then. Hopping over to Canada Post tracking, they say:
“Description
We could not find this Tracking Number in our system.
Find out why
. You can
edit
this Tracking Number or
Request
Delivery Updates By Email.”
Get your shit together, Canada Post. You can’t be both over priced and suck. Pick one and stick with it.

They recently changed the anthem to be gender neutral or some shit. I think they should have gone a step further and changed it to “Goddamnit, Canada, sigh”

Ye’, I was reading something about that.
It’s getting beyond a joke making them ethnically neutral, gender neutral next it’ll be taking any reference to conflict, removing the name of the name it’s referring for fear of raising tensions from other nations, etc...
For me, I’ll always like, ‘The Maple Leaf Forever’.
#God save our queen and heaven bless, the Maple Leaf forever.
